Tartar sauce (see below recipe)

Instructions

Who said you need oil for some fantastic fried fish? If you want to swap a pan of oil with your handy air fryer, go for it! We won’t stop you.

  1. If you choose to pan fry your fish, start heating a thin layer of oil to 350ºF.
  2. Place 1 cup of flour into a shallow bowl and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour and the water to make your batter.
  4. In a third bowl, combine the last 2 cups of flour with the Wildwood Fish & Potato seasoning to make three-stage breading.
  5. Taking your Haddock and placing it in the bowl with plain flour, coat both sides of the fillet.
  6. Place the fillet into your batter bowl, covering both sides with the mixture.
  7. Place it into the bowl with your three-stage breading, pressing gently to cover the entire fillet.
  8. Repeat this process until all your fillets are coated and ready to be fried.
  9. To pan fry your fish:
    1. Place your fillets into the skillet of hot oil. The oil should sizzle once the fish is set down. Fry the fish until the bottom is golden, then flip. This should be about three minutes on both sides or until it has reached an internal temperature of 150ºF.
    2. Once the second side begins to flake, take it out of the oil and place on a plate with two or three layers of paper towels to soak up extra oil while you fry the rest of the fish.
  10. To air fry your fish:
    1. Spray your coated fillets with a thin layer of cooking spray and place in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes, and flip halfway through.
    2. Once the breading flakes easily with a fork and the fish has reached an internal temperature of 150ºF, dish up and enjoy!
  11. Serve alongside your favorite fries.
  12. Garnish like a pro with tartar sauce and 2 pickles.
  13. All that is left is to eat and enjoy your masterpiece!
