Smokey Wascally Wabbit Wontons Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb. Ground Rabbit
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Wildwood’s Ribriffic Seasoning
1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp. Liquid Smoke
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Jack Cheese
½ cup Cream Cheese
¼ cup Chopped Scallion (or Chive)
¼ cup BBQ
Instructions
Prepping Your Wascally Wabbit
- In a skillet, sauté your ground rabbit in butter and season with Wildwood’s Ribriffic Seasoning, vinegar, and liquid smoke. Once sautéed, set it aside and chill.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, onions, chilled rabbit, and BBQ.
- Mix well, then chill your mixture.
Let’s Get Wonton Wrapping
- Place about 1 oz. of your rabbit filling in middle of the wonton wrapper fold. Moisten all the edges, then fold the wrapper into triangle.
- Taking your triangle, moisten its three edges and fold together so your wonton is shaped like the Pope’s hat.
- Make sure to keep your wrapped wontons chilled until they are ready to cook.
Air Frying Your Wabbit
- Heat your air fryer to 375°F – making sure it is set to air fryer mode.
- While that is heating up, place your wontons in a mixing bowl and spray them with Pam Spray, coating them well.
- Arrange your coated wontons in the air fryer so they are spaced apart.
- Air fry them for 4-6 minutes then remove and get ready to munch.
Pro Tip: For the ultimate flavorful experience, serve your wontons with warm rhubarb jam–chef’s kiss!
